Prof. Joachim Weyand is director at the Faculty of Economics, Management and Law at the University of Ilmenau (Thuringia, Germany). His research is focusing on the fields of Civil Law, Economic Law and Labor Law, publishing a various number of books, articles and research papers on questions of Invention Law, Small and Medium sized Enterprises and individual Labor Law.

1986 – 1989 Scientific Assistant at the Institute of Civil Law, Economic Law and Labour Law (University of Frankfurt)

1988 Doctor of Law, University of Frankfurt

1989 – 1994 Assistant Professor, Institute of Civil Law, Economic Law and Labour Law

(University of Frankfurt)

1995 - 1996 Lecturer at the Universities of Marburg, Leipzig and Dresden (chair substitution)

Since 1997 Full professor at the University of Technology Ilmenau, Institute of Law

1997 - 1999 Deputy dean of the faculty of Economics, Management and Law
